Journalism Research and Innovation Project

Check out more work but the Journalism Research and Innovation Project on http://journalism.byu.edu/

The Journalism Research and Innovation Project (JRIP) at BYU is made up of a group of student researchers, reporters and designers, and faculty who are working to clarify and inform the public of the intrinsic value of journalism in society.

As the student design intern with JRIP, I worked with a team of researchers and editors to create text on a variety of topics that define journalism today. These topics include:

  • Why People Should Not Kill Journalists
  • The Who, What, When, Where, Why, and How of Journalism
  • Journalism, Revenue Models and Social Media Algorithms

To visual display and organize these topics, I created a series of vector illustrations for web and print distribution.

I also created a booklet for print as well as an interactive .pdf with additional resources and graphics.
